Bradford and Leigh to Compete in Las Vegas Super League Match
Bradford Bulls and Leigh Leopards will become the fifth and sixth Super League teams to play in Las Vegas when they face off in 2027. The match is scheduled to take place at Allegiant Stadium, the home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders, on 27 February 2027. This fixture will be considered a home game for the Bulls.
The event will coincide with a double-header that marks the start of the new season of Australia's NRL Telstra Premiership.
Previous Super League Games in Las Vegas
This will be the third Super League game held in Las Vegas. The inaugural match took place in March last year, when Wigan Warriors defeated Warrington Wolves. The 2026 fixture, also held in March, saw Leeds Rhinos secure a decisive victory over Hull KR.
Team Backgrounds and Significance
Bradford Bulls, four-time Super League champions, are participating in their first season back at this level since 2014. Leigh Leopards have won the Challenge Cup and have consistently finished no lower than fifth place since their promotion in 2022.
Comments from Club Representatives
"I am absolutely buzzing and privileged to be able to take 'little old Leigh' to represent Super League in Las Vegas," said Leopards owner Derek Beaumont.
"This presents the club and our town with a fantastic opportunity to raise its profile on a world stage and is invaluable to the partnerships that we have built over the years."
For Bulls director and co-owner Philip Sharp, participating in the Las Vegas showcase represents further evidence of the club's resurgence after years away from the top tier.
"Bradford Bulls is a club built on rich history and identity and we have one of the most passionate supporter bases in the sport," he said.
"Taking the Bulls to Las Vegas would be about far more than just a single game - it's an opportunity to showcase our supporters, our city and our journey on a global stage, and that the Bulls are back."
