Wales Eye Salt Lake City for 2026 World Cup Base

Craig Bellamy, who never played at a World Cup, aims to lead Wales to the 2026 tournament. If Wales qualify, Salt Lake City, Utah, is expected to be their training base.

The Football Association of Wales (FAW), Bellamy's employer, is negotiating to establish the national team's training base in Salt Lake City, home to Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake.

Anthony Pulis, assistant manager of Real Salt Lake and former Wales Under-21 international, has provided guidance to the FAW regarding options in the United States. He is also the son of former Stoke and West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis.
