McTominay Travels Separately to Boston After Illness
Scott McTominay has travelled separately to Boston following his absence from Thursday's training session due to an upset stomach.
The Napoli midfielder, who has been a key player for Scotland in recent campaigns, made the journey accompanied by a doctor as a precautionary measure.
Steve Clarke's team will begin their first World Cup in 28 years on Saturday (0200 BST on Sunday) at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, facing Haiti.
Scotland's group stage opponents also include Morocco and Brazil.
McTominay, who has scored 15 goals in 70 appearances for Scotland, contributed to the team's strong 4-0 victory over Bolivia on Saturday by scoring a goal.
Scottish fans, arriving in large numbers in Boston, are awaiting an update from Clarke, who is scheduled to address the media on Friday at 1700.
At Thursday's media conference, midfielder Kenny McLean commented on McTominay's condition:
"Mine is alright thankfully.
Hopefully that doesn't spread. Fingers crossed Scott will be fine. I'm sure he will be.
I don't need to speak too much on him, everyone knows how big he is.
It's a team effort and always will be, but when you have special, special players like that you want them to be available. I'm sure he will be."
