Magennis Reflects on Crucial World Cup Play-Off
Northern Ireland striker Josh Magennis, who has netted 12 goals for his country, described the upcoming World Cup play-off semi-final against Italy as "a night we are going to remember for the rest of our lives."
Michael O'Neill's squad aims to defeat Italy and advance to the play-off final, where they will face either Wales or Bosnia-Herzegovina, with the ultimate goal of qualifying for their first World Cup in 40 years.
Magennis, one of only two players remaining in the squad who participated in the 2016 European Championships in France, is familiar with high-stakes matches representing Northern Ireland.
"When you have the opportunity to play and wear the green and white jersey, you take full advantage of it," Magennis told NI.
"It is a night we are going to remember for the rest of our lives, whether we make it or not.
"We are doing our best to make it a good one, so when we look back like in 2016 that we have fond memories together and not ifs, buts and maybes."

O'Neill's Dual Role and Team Confidence
Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill is currently balancing his responsibilities managing the international team alongside his role with Championship club Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season.
Despite this unique situation, Magennis expressed confidence that O'Neill's multitasking will not affect his performance as Northern Ireland's manager.
"He has been able to multitask, and he has been doing brilliantly," said the Exeter City forward.
"Blackburn were in a bit of disarray and he has managed to steady the ship, him and 'Davo' [Steven Davis].
"He is coming in with great confidence. He is a great football man and his mind for football is fantastic so for him to come here and switch it up will not be a problem for him."
