Hibernian FC to Present Training Centre Upgrade Plans

Hibernian Football Club is preparing to unveil its plans to enhance its training centre located in East Lothian.

The proposed developments at the East Mains site near Ormiston include the addition of a dome-covered artificial football pitch, along with improvements such as a new car park, upgraded lighting, footpaths, and CCTV installation.

The Scottish Premiership club will share detailed information about the proposals during public events scheduled in the village next month as part of the pre-application process.

Initial plans were first revealed in December of the previous year.

The Easter Road club originally opened the training facility on farmland in 2007, more than a year after receiving planning permission for the project.

The centre currently serves as the training base for Hibs' men's, women's, and youth academy teams.

To facilitate the expansion, the club reached an agreement with a neighbouring landowner, enabling the site extension to move forward.

Public Exhibition Dates and Community Engagement

The plans will be publicly displayed at The Coalgate, located on The Wynd, Ormiston, on 20 April from 16:00 to 20:00.

A second exhibition will be held at the same venue on 18 May, also from 16:00 to 20:00.

The club encourages public feedback prior to the formal submission of the plans to East Lothian Council.

A design team will be present at the events to address questions from attendees.
