Crystal Palace Appoints Pierre Sage as Head Coach

Crystal Palace have announced the appointment of French coach Pierre Sage as their new head coach, signing him on a three-year deal.

The 47-year-old succeeds Oliver Glasner, who departed the Eagles at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season after serving as head coach for two and a half years.

Coaching Career and Recent Achievements

Sage joined Lens a year ago and successfully led the team to a second-place finish in Ligue 1. Under his leadership, Lens also secured their first-ever Coupe de France title in the club's 120-year history.

Prior to his tenure at Lens, Sage spent 14 months as head coach of Lyon. Initially appointed on an interim basis, he guided Lyon to qualification for the Europa League in the 2024-25 season.

Early Managerial Experience

Pierre Sage began his managerial career with Chambery in 2013, marking his first role in football management.
