Tottenham 1-0 Atlético Madrid (agg 3-5): Tottenham goalkeeper Vicario makes an excellent save, adjusting well to a volley from Simeone deflected off Romero. The save impresses even the commentator Joe Hart.

Tottenham 1-0 Atlético Madrid (agg 3-5): Tottenham's Tel causes problems for Atlético, cutting in from the left and firing a powerful shot from outside the area. Goalkeeper Musso makes a fine save to push the ball away.

Forty minutes into the three matches, the Bayern Munich tie appears decided, but the Liverpool and Tottenham games remain competitive. Toby Alderweireld is present in London to watch two of his former clubs.

Tottenham 1-0 Atlético Madrid (agg 3-5): Spurs show promising play as Tel receives the ball on the left, finishing a well-worked move with a shot at the keeper from a tight angle. However, he might have better served teammates positioned for an easier finish.

Liverpool 1-0 Galatasaray (agg 1-1): Liverpool dominate Galatasaray. Reflecting on Szoboszlai's goal, he chose timing over power, producing a beautifully executed strike.

"Yes, it’s been a difficult season for Liverpool. But how much worse would it have been without Szoboszlai? He just keeps on maincharactering his way to being the difference."

Atlético Madrid lapses defensively on a simple Spurs move. Tel receives a throw-in on the right, finds Muani making a run to the back post, and the French forward heads the ball into the net.

Mac Allister takes a corner from the left, delivering the ball to the edge of the area where Szoboszlai is positioned. Szoboszlai strikes a first-time sidefooted finish into the bottom left corner, leveling the aggregate score for Liverpool.

GOAL! Bayern Munich 1-0 Atalanta (agg 7-1) – Kane penalty 25

After a VAR review for a possible handball, Bayern Munich is awarded a penalty. Harry Kane's initial shot is saved, but the goalkeeper moved off his line prematurely. Kane retakes and scores his ninth goal in this European campaign.

Tottenham 0-0 Atlético Madrid (agg 2-5): Pedro Porro attempts a free-kick from the left, but the delivery lacks depth. A long throw from Dragusin leads to Tel firing a shot directly at the keeper.

Liverpool 0-0 Galatasaray (agg 0-1): Liverpool consistently attack, while Galatasaray has had players down with injuries. Victor Osimhen struggles with a strapped forearm but remains on the pitch.

"I have taken delivery of shiny new headphones so I can get closer to the misery. But if misery it be then the Liverpool players will have brought it on Slot, not the other way round. The manager does not want them to play as slowly as they do in too many games but still it keeps happening. If it happens tonight then the shame is on them, not him."
"How on earth are Liverpool going to score two goals? Two free kicks from Szoboszlai?"

It is a European night at Anfield, which may inspire the team to improve their performance.

Harry Kane captains Bayern Munich tonight. His season has been remarkable, with 45 club goals in 38 appearances, including eight goals in eight European matches. He is two goals shy of 50 in the competition.

Meanwhile, in Barcelona, the hosts are aiming to reach double digits in goals.

Liverpool line-up includes Mo Salah, Ibrahima Konaté, Milos Kerkez, and Hugo Ekitiké, all returning after starting on the bench against Tottenham on Sunday.

Tottenham miss suspended Richarlison, with Kolo Muani leading the attack. Dominic Solanke, doubtful for the match, is not in the squad. Atlético Madrid start without Jan Oblak.

The Champions League last-16 second legs continue with three matches. Bayern Munich holds a commanding 6-1 aggregate lead over Atalanta and is expected to advance. Tottenham faces a difficult task trailing Atlético Madrid by three goals on aggregate amid league struggles, though coach Igor Tudor remains optimistic.

The closest tie is Liverpool versus Galatasaray, with the Turkish side leading 1-0 on aggregate thanks to Mario Lemina’s goal at Rams Park. Manager Arne Slot faces criticism, but as Jonathan Liew notes, much of the responsibility may not lie with him.

"Liverpool are fifth in the Premier League, still in the Champions League, and have accumulated more league points since the start of last season than anybody bar Arsenal. On the other hand, Liverpool are fifth in the Premier League, on the verge of elimination from the Champions League, and on pace to drop 22 points from last season."
