Celtic Fans Allocated Full Broomloan Road Stand for Scottish Cup Quarter-Final
Celtic have been granted approximately 7,500 tickets for the upcoming Scottish Cup quarter-final derby against Rangers, scheduled for 8 March. Rangers have agreed to allocate the entire Broomloan Road stand to away supporters for this fixture.
This allocation marks the first time since 2018 that around 7,500 away fans will be able to attend an Old Firm derby at either Ibrox or Celtic Park. The decision was made following consultations between both clubs and the police.
In recent derbies, away supporter allocations have been limited to about 800 tickets, following a period when no away fans were permitted at the fixture. It is understood that Rangers reached this decision after receiving assurances that Celtic would reciprocate with similar allocations for any forthcoming cup matches held at Celtic Park.
According to Scottish FA regulations, away clubs should be entitled to a 20% allocation of supporter tickets. Celtic have been approached for comment regarding this arrangement.
Additionally, Rangers and Celtic are scheduled to meet at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on 1 March.
