Brighton Fans Gather for Women's FA Cup Final at Wembley
Excitement is mounting as supporters of Brighton & Hove Albion travel to Wembley Stadium for the Women's FA Cup final.
Albion secured their place in the final with a last-minute goal against Liverpool in the semi-final, setting up a match against Manchester City.
Sara Marchant, a devoted fan of over 30 years, was journeying to the final by coach alongside her daughter Amy.
Amy Marchant said: "It's a once in a lifetime experience, hopefully unforgettable."
Willow Kirk-George was also among the supporters on the coach. Speaking to BBC Radio Sussex, she expressed optimism about the team's chances.
"I'm very excited that the one game I can go to is Wembley, so hopefully they can pull out a win for it," she said. "Albion were capable of doing it."
Kirk-George noted that her work at a carvery had prevented her from attending other games this season, making this final her first match of the campaign.
Supporters Reflect on Team's Progress
Janette Back, who has supported Albion for nearly ten years, shared her amazement at the team's achievement.
"I just cannot believe we've got here, it's such a real statement for the girls, it really is. They've done so well this season," she said.
Back mentioned she had not even had time for a cup of tea before departing from Eastbourne to Wembley by coach.
Her friend Janet Cotton added her enthusiasm for the occasion.
"Having a women's FA Cup Final at Wembley is just amazing anyway, to be here with Brighton is super exciting. So many guys are here as well, which is brilliant, supporting the game."

William, aged 14, predicted a 2-1 victory for Brighton and expressed his excitement and optimism ahead of the final.

Official Support and Team Management Comments
The team also received backing from Bella Sankey, leader of Brighton & Hove City Council.
"It's important to reflect on what a huge moment this is, particularly for girls and women across Brighton and Sussex," Sankey said.
Zoe Johnson, managing director of women's football at Brighton & Hove Albion, spoke to Radio Sussex about the atmosphere surrounding the final.
"Everyone's just really filled with excitement. I think there's been a lot of hard work gone in behind the scenes for a number of years. It would be a massive day in history for us."
