Bobby Kamwa to Depart Newport County

Forward Bobby Kamwa will leave Newport County this summer after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract with the League Two club.

The 26-year-old striker played a crucial role in Newport's successful bid to avoid relegation to the National League, scoring three goals across the final two matches of the 2025-26 season.

Newport County confirmed that Kamwa, whose contract at Rodney Parade expires this month, has opted to pursue opportunities elsewhere after declining an improved contract offer.

"The forward's contributions included a number of decisive performances, with his goals providing real impact at important times in the season," Newport stated on their official website.

Newport County is continuing preparations for the upcoming campaign, with recruitment efforts underway ahead of the new season.
