New Zealand 132-4 (18.2 overs): Sharp 62 (43), Halliday 41* (38)

Defending champions New Zealand eliminated Scotland and maintained their chances of reaching the T20 Women's World Cup semi-finals with a commanding performance in Bristol.

The White Ferns controlled the match early on as Scotland managed only 131-7 in their 20 overs.

Scotland relied heavily on 21-year-old Darcey Carter, one of the tournament's breakout players, who anchored their innings.

The opening batter, who previously scored a half-century against West Indies, remained unbeaten on 72 runs from 52 balls, hitting eight fours and one six.

Sarah Bryce was the only other Scottish batter to provide notable resistance, scoring 25 runs from 22 balls.

New Zealand's innings began with early setbacks as both openers were caught at mid-on off Kathryn Bryce's bowling. Sophie Devine was then bowled by Rachel Slater, leaving New Zealand at 26-3.

Despite Scotland sensing an opportunity for an upset, Izzy Sharp and Brooke Halliday steadied the New Zealand innings and gradually regained control.

Sharp accelerated after reaching her half-century, including lofting Slater for a straight six, before being dismissed with New Zealand needing just one run for victory.

Maddy Green hit a reverse sweep for four off her first ball, and a leg-bye secured a six-wicket win with 10 balls remaining.

New Zealand's final group match is against hosts England on 27 June at 18:30 BST. They must win and rely on other results to advance to the semi-finals.
