Duplantis Breaks Pole Vault World Record Again

Sweden's Armand Duplantis achieved a new milestone by breaking his own pole vault world record for the 15th time on Thursday, clearing a height of 6.31 metres.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist accomplished this feat at the IFU Arena in Uppsala during the Mondo Classic, an indoor pole vault-only event held in Sweden and named in his honor.

At 26 years old, Duplantis has consistently improved the world record by the minimum increment of one centimetre each time he has surpassed it.

Prior to Duplantis' record-breaking streak, the world record was held by France's Renaud Lavillenie, who set a mark of 6.16 metres in 2014.
