Martin Short's Daughter Katherine Passes Away
Canadian actor Martin Short has announced the death of his daughter Katherine at the age of 42. He expressed that she "will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world."
Katherine Short, a social worker, was the eldest of three children adopted by Martin Short and his late wife, actress and singer Nancy Dolman.
"It is with profound grief that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short," Martin Short's representative stated to . "The Short family is devastated by this loss and asks for privacy at this time."
According to law enforcement sources cited by the Los Angeles Times and TMZ, Katherine's death was an apparent suicide.

Martin Short, known for his roles in films such as The Three Amigos, Father Of the Bride, and Innerspace, has postponed several live performances with his comedy partner Steve Martin following the tragedy.
The Miller High Life Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, announced:
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Steve Martin & Martin Short's show, originally scheduled for Friday, February 27th in Milwaukee, has been postponed."
Additionally, a scheduled appearance in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Saturday, February 28, has also been postponed.

Martin Short is currently nominated for Best Male Actor in a Comedy Series at the upcoming Actor Awards for his role as Oliver Putnam in Only Murders in the Building.
His wife, Nancy Dolman, passed away from ovarian cancer in 2010.
