The Beverly Hills residence of internationally renowned pop artist Rihanna was struck by gunfire, according to police reports.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to calls reporting gunfire at approximately 13:15 local time (21:15 GMT) on Sunday. Authorities located a suspect at the scene and took the individual into custody.
A police official informed the BBC's US partner, CBS News, that the targeted property was Rihanna's home.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. A law enforcement source told the Los Angeles Times that Rihanna was present in the mansion during the event.
