Two people arrested in connection with the death of Nicholas Gordon in east Belfast have been released unconditionally. Police continue investigations and urge the public to provide information.

Two Released Unconditionally in East Belfast Attack Probe

Two individuals arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, following the death of a man in east Belfast, have been released without conditions.

Nicholas Gordon, 51, known as Nicky, was assaulted when several intruders entered an apartment building on the Holywood Road during the early hours of 12 May. He was transported to hospital but subsequently died from his injuries.

A 24-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman, initially arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, were later released on bail.

Additionally, two men aged 25 and 31, who were arrested in Scotland on suspicion of murder on Monday, are scheduled to be returned to Northern Ireland for questioning today, according to police statements.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed that their investigations are ongoing and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

"Their enquiries are continuing, and have asked anyone with information to contact them."
