Police are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman after their bodies were found in Renfrewshire. The man, who was 43, and the 36-year-old woman were discovered in the Houston area on Monday morning.
What happened in Houston?
Police said they received a report of concerns for a person in Corsliehill Road at about 07:50 on Monday. When the emergency services arrived at the scene, they found the bodies of the man and woman nearby.
How are police treating the deaths?
Officers said the deaths were being treated as
"unexplained"and post-mortem examinations would be carried out. They said inquiries were continuing and that there was nothing to suggest anyone else had been involved.
A spokesperson said:
"The deaths are being treated as unexplained and post-mortem examinations will be carried out in due course.
"Extensive inquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances. At this time, there is nothing to suggest anyone else has been involved.
"Their relatives are aware and are being supported by specialist officers."
