The public have been told to avoid the area while police deal with the incident. A major police operation at a property in Angus has forced the closure of a road for several hours.
Drumsturdy Road in Kingennie has been closed from the Kellas Road junction to the Ethiebeaton/Forbes junction. Police Scotland said officers had attended a property in connection with an ongoing inquiry.
A police officer with a battering ram was seen near the property. The village is about two miles north of Monifieth.
Eleven police vehicles, two fire appliances and two ambulances are at the scene. Diversions are in place and members of the public are being asked to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for the force said officers remained on scene as inquiries continue and are being supported by other emergency responders as a precaution.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it was supporting emergency service partners at an incident on Drumsturdy Road.
It said two appliances were sent to the area after the alarm was raised at 11:47.
