Police Officer Sentenced for Sexual Offences
A police officer who raped two women and subjected a third woman to a prolonged campaign of abuse has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Cameron Ross committed the assaults in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis during 2012 and 2014. He later abused another woman in Inverness between 2019 and 2022.
Ross, aged 39, was suspended from Police Scotland in January 2024 after the allegations emerged and subsequently resigned last month.
Although Ross denied the charges, a jury found him guilty following a trial held at the High Court in Edinburgh in May.
