Police Investigate Incident at Inverness Primary School
Police are currently investigating an incident at Ness Castle Primary School in Inverness involving a pupil found with a knife during break-time.
In a letter addressed to parents, the school confirmed the occurrence of the incident and stated that staff acted promptly to intervene.
The school emphasized that it is adhering to all relevant guidelines and that Police Scotland is providing support.
Police Statement and Ongoing Inquiries
Police Scotland reported that no injuries resulted from the incident and that their inquiries remain ongoing.
"Around 11:50 on Tuesday we received a report of a child in possession of a knife at a school in Inverness. Inquiries are ongoing and police are working with partners in relation to the matter."
School's Communication to Parents
In the letter, Ness Castle Primary detailed the event as follows:
"At break-time today there was an incident in the school playground involving a pupil with a knife. No-one was injured and staff intervened swiftly. Please be assured that we are following all relevant guidance with regards to this incident."
