Man Appears in Court Charged with Raping Teenager in Glasgow Park
A man has appeared in court facing charges related to the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl in a park located in Glasgow.
Hamid Wali, 36, who is from Glasgow, is accused of pushing the teenager into bushes at Springburn Park before assaulting her on the evening of 26 June.
During proceedings at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Wali made no plea to one count of rape and two counts of threatening and abusive behaviour.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear again within the next eight days.
