Man Charged in Connection with Ellie Flanagan's Death

A 45-year-old man has been formally charged with the murder of Ellie Flanagan, a 23-year-old woman whose body was discovered in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh. The discovery followed police investigations into a vehicle crash that occurred approximately eight miles away in the village of Tempo.

Officers traced the vehicle involved in the crash to a residence in Enniskillen, where they found Ms Flanagan's body. The man faces charges of murder and possession of an offensive weapon with intent. He is scheduled to appear before Strabane Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Ellie Flanagan was remembered as a "well known, well loved and respected" individual within her community. A local priest spoke about her character and impact, highlighting her warmth and kindness.

"She was the kind of person who brought a smile to your face as soon as you met her. She was full of love, full of kindness, full of warmth,"

The priest also noted her profession and the positive influence she had on children and their families.

"She worked in childcare and was known by 'so many children' and 'respected by their parents'."
