A man has been charged following a disturbance at a jobs fair organized by Blackpool South MP Chris Webb.

The Labour MP expressed his gratitude towards Lancashire Police officers and his parliamentary security team for their prompt response to the incident, which occurred on Thursday.

Details of the Charge

Tom O'Keefe, 42, of Cross Street, Blackpool, has been charged with a Section 5 Public Order offence. He is scheduled to appear at Lancaster Magistrates Court on 24 April.

Background on the Jobs Fair

Mr Webb, who was elected in 2024, initially established the jobs fair in the resort a year later. The event returned for its second edition this week at the Winter Gardens Conference Centre.
