Three police officers were assaulted while responding to an incident near a bus stop in Inverness on Thursday afternoon.

One officer was taken to hospital for assessment following the event, which occurred on Mackintosh Road in Raigmore shortly after 16:00.

Police Scotland reported that a 32-year-old man and two women, aged 28 and 25, were arrested and charged with assaulting police officers and breach of the peace.
