Investigation Underway After Skydiver's Death at Kent Aerodrome

Investigation Launched into Skydiver's Death

An investigation has been initiated following the death of a skydiver at an aerodrome located in Kent.

Emergency services responded to Headcorn Aerodrome in Ashford after receiving a report at 10:00 BST on Monday that the body of a parachutist had been discovered.

Kent Police confirmed that a man in his 50s was pronounced dead and that his next of kin have been notified.

British Skydiving stated that it is conducting an investigation into the incident at the aerodrome, and that the findings will be submitted to the appropriate authorities, including the coroner.

Police have indicated that the death is being treated as unexplained and that the investigation is ongoing in coordination with the relevant regulator.

Go Skydive, the operator at the airfield, has been contacted for comment.
