Three police officers are currently under investigation after a man was shot and killed at his residence on Christmas Eve.

Marcus Meade, aged 39, died on 24 December 2024, following a five-hour standoff with West Mercia Police officers at his home located on Fownhope Close, Redditch.

The officers who led the firearms operation are being examined by The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) for possible misconduct related to the planning and management of the operation.
