Man Pleads Guilty to Raping and Assaulting Wife
A man in his sixties, accused of conspiring with others to drug and rape his wife, has admitted to some of the charges against him. The defendant, whose name has not been disclosed, appeared at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to raping and sexually assaulting his wife, as well as sharing intimate photographs and videos of her without her consent during the period from 2022 to 2025.
The individual, from the Stockport area of Greater Manchester, was visibly emotional and cried in the dock before proceedings began. Despite this, he spoke clearly and calmly as he entered guilty pleas to certain offences, while denying several other charges.
Additional Defendants and Upcoming Trial
In connection with the case, thirteen other men have been charged. Of these, twelve have pleaded not guilty to the allegations they face. The trial is set to commence on 1 September and is anticipated to last approximately 12 weeks.
