Five Metropolitan Police officers have been injured after a police boat struck Westminster Bridge in central London. The incident happened at about 15:40 BST, and the injured officers are being treated, although the extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed.

The Met said the boat was from the Marine Policing Unit and that "a number of officers entered the water, but were recovered". The force added it did not believe any members of the public were involved or injured.
