Firefighters Respond to Hotel Fire in Fife

Fire crews have been working throughout the night to manage a fire at a hotel in Fife.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call regarding the incident at the St Michael's Inn in Leuchars at approximately 22:11 on Tuesday.

At the peak of the fire, nine fire appliances along with four specialist resources were deployed to address the "well developed" blaze, according to SFRS.

Traffic Disruptions Reported

Fife Council reported that motorists experienced disruptions due to the fire.

"Major disruption to roads in North East Fife, towards Dundee, due to fire at St Michaels Inn."

The affected roads include the A914 from Dairsie to St Michaels, the A919 from Leuchars to St Michaels, the B945 from Tayport to St Michaels, and the C12 between the A92 and A914 from Forgan Roundabout to St Michaels.

Current Status and Safety

An SFRS spokesperson stated that the incident has been scaled back, but that "two fire appliances and one high reach vehicle and firefighting crews will remain on scene for some time yet."

There have been no reported casualties related to the fire.
