Incident Overview
Police have reported that a driver suffered serious injuries after his car flipped and plunged off steep cliffs following a series of collisions with walls and fences. The incident occurred on the Great Orme, a well-known beauty spot and vantage point overlooking the north Wales coast.
The man was observed driving erratically off-road and through fields on the Great Orme, located in Llandudno, Conwy county. The area is characterized by vertical cliff drops reaching up to 207 meters (679 feet).
North Wales Police received multiple calls concerning the manner of driving of a silver Nissan Qashqai prior to the crash at Marine Drive. Photographs from the scene show the vehicle overturned on its roof.
The driver has been receiving medical treatment in hospital following the crash, which took place on Saturday morning.

Police and Witness Reports
Authorities stated that witnesses reported the vehicle "driving erratically" around the summit of the Great Orme. Observers described how the car entered the surrounding farmland, colliding with fences and walls along its path.

The police are appealing for any witnesses who may have video footage of the incident to come forward.
Following the crash, specialists were called to winch the vehicle back up the steep slope. The car was subsequently loaded onto the back of a lorry for recovery.

Witnesses recounted that the car crashed through fences and walls before coming to rest off Marine Drive, a road that encircles the Great Orme.

Officers later located the vehicle off Marine Drive where it had collided with a wall and ended up off-road on a steep incline near protected historic gun sites. These sites were constructed during World War Two to defend the coast.
