Corran Ferry Services Resume After Suspension

Car ferry services on a Highland Council-operated route have recommenced following a suspension that lasted one day due to an engineer's inspection.

The Corran Ferry, which provides a five-minute crossing over Loch Linnhe, connects the broader Lochaber area with communities located on the Ardgour peninsula to the west.

On Saturday, the local authority announced that the Maid of Glencoul ferry required a replacement part and cautioned that it could be "several days" before normal service would be restored.

However, on Sunday, officials confirmed that the necessary part had been obtained, installed, and successfully tested.

In December, the service experienced three days of disruption after a steering fault was identified on the ferry.
