Mother of TikToker's Murder Sentence Appeal Denied
Ansreen Bukhari, mother of TikTok influencer Mahek Bukhari, was convicted alongside her daughter for the murder of Saqib Hussain and Hashim Ijazuddin in February 2022.
Ansreen Bukhari, residing at George Eardley Close in Stoke-on-Trent, was found guilty of the murders committed during a high-speed car chase involving her lover and his friend. The conviction included her daughter Mahek Bukhari and two other men.
She received a prison sentence of 26 years and nine months. However, on Friday, it was argued that the sentencing judge did not sufficiently consider the coercive and controlling behaviour Ansreen Bukhari endured from Saqib Hussain.
A panel of three judges from the Court of Appeal reviewed the claim but dismissed it, affirming that the sentence was appropriate and justified.
