Election Results and Flynn's Transition

At the Holyrood election held on 7 May, Flynn secured his MSP seat with a narrow majority of 1,244 votes, representing 3.6%, ahead of the Conservative candidate.

As one of the most prominent SNP politicians, Flynn was required to resign from his Westminster position to assume his new role at Holyrood.

Flynn's Priorities and Future Prospects

Regarding his new role, Flynn expressed his commitment to several key issues. He stated:

"I would be a champion for North Sea oil and gas workers, those struggling with the cost of living, and young people searching for hope and aspiration."

Flynn has also been widely regarded as a potential future leader of the SNP.
