A man has died following a two-car collision in County Tyrone on Monday night.

The 36-year-old driver died after the crash occurred on the A5 Omagh Road, situated between Ballygawley and Omagh, near the junction with Garvaghy Bridge Road shortly before 22:15 GMT.

The deceased was driving a silver Nissan Micra, which collided with a white Audi A6.

The three occupants of the Audi were transported to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
