The family of Shanice Brookes, a 30-year-old woman fatally shot outside a bar in Sheffield during a night out, have paid tribute to her memory.

South Yorkshire Police identified Shanice Brookes as the "innocent bystander" who was killed outside One Four One in the early hours of Monday.

Shanice, a mother to one child, was employed by a charity in Sheffield and was pursuing a university degree.

Her family described her as having the "deepest heart and the kind of energy you could never forget."

"She was a deeply loved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend and godmother, as well as being an amazing mum to her son, who meant the world to her."
