In Scotland, Police Scotland arrested eight individuals across Lanarkshire, Glasgow, and West Lothian.

Meanwhile, in Spain, the Guardia Civil carried out raids targeting addresses in the Malaga area and Barcelona.

Detectives have stated that the inquiry predates the gangland feud that erupted in central Scotland last year. They also confirmed that the investigation is not connected to the killing of two senior members of the Lyons crime group in Fuengirola last May.
