Four Men Appear in Court Over Murder of Scottish Businessman
Four men have appeared in court in connection with the murder of a Scottish businessman in Kenya.
Campbell Scott, aged 58, was discovered dead inside a sack in Makongo Forest in February of the previous year. The location is approximately 60 miles (96.5 km) from Nairobi, where he had been residing.

The men named Bernard Mbusu, Isaac Kinoti Kobia, Evans Muthengi Mutaki, and Kelvin Mwangi Njoroge were presented before a magistrate in Mombasa following their arrest on Saturday.
They have not yet been formally charged and were remanded in custody for a period of 14 days to allow for further police investigations.
The court was informed that detectives require additional time to perform forensic analysis on the mobile phones of the four men, review bank records, and collect CCTV footage.
Background on Campbell Scott and Investigation Details
Scott, originally from Dunfermline in Fife, held the position of senior director at the credit scoring company FICO. He had traveled to Nairobi to attend a conference.
He was reported missing after failing to meet colleagues at the JW Marriott Hotel located in the Westlands area of Nairobi.
It was known that Scott had visited the Havana nightclub the evening before his disappearance.
Kenyan police later indicated their belief that Scott was taken to a property in the Pipeline district, a slum area approximately 9.3 miles (15 km) from the hotel where he was staying.
Prosecutors suspect that he was held at this location for some time while efforts were made to access funds from his bank accounts.
His body was subsequently found in a pineapple sack with his hands bound in Makongo Forest.
A post-mortem examination was conducted but proved inconclusive. However, pathologists noted that the injuries on his body were
"too minor" to have resulted in his death.
Additional Arrests and Related Investigations
Two other men were arrested last year in connection with the murder. One of these individuals has been charged with murder and is scheduled to stand trial.
The four men currently in custody are expected to appear in court again on 27 April.
They are also under investigation for separate allegations involving a violent robbery targeting another individual in Nyali, near Mombasa.
An American citizen reported being attacked and robbed by six men at his holiday apartment in the area.
