Fatal Stabbing Incident at Kampala School
Four children have been "brutally stabbed and killed" at a school located in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, according to a statement from the police.
A 34-year-old suspect has been taken into custody, though "the motive behind the killings is still under investigation," the Uganda police force stated in a brief message on X.
The school involved has been identified as the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program School, situated in the Makindye Division of Kampala.

A police spokesperson indicated that further information would be released at a later time.
According to Uganda's Daily Monitor newspaper, local residents reported that the suspect gained access to the school by posing as a parent. After speaking with the school administrator, the individual proceeded to attack the children. The victims were reportedly between the ages of two and three years old.
Videos circulating on social media depict scenes of crowds displaying anger and distress in the aftermath of the attack.
Suspect Apprehension and Ongoing Investigation
Local journalist Erich Mboowa reported on X that the suspect was swiftly apprehended to "prevent him from being lynched."
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
