Justin Bieber to Perform at 2026 FIFA World Cup Halftime Show

Justin Bieber has been announced as one of the headline performers for the halftime show closing the 2026 FIFA World Cup in New York. The Canadian pop icon will share the stage with Madonna, Shakira, and K-pop group BTS during the tournament's inaugural Super Bowl-style halftime event scheduled for 19 July.

Additional performers include Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay, and the Sesame Street muppets. The 11-minute performance aims to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

Bieber's Recent Performances and Health

Earlier this year, Bieber returned to live performances with a nostalgic set at the Coachella festival in California. This marked his largest live show in four years following the cancellation of his Justice world tour due to health concerns. During the April event, the 32-year-old artist performed while seated in front of a laptop, singing along to YouTube videos of his earlier hits such as "Baby," "Never Say Never," "One Time," and "Beauty and the Beat."

Halftime Show Curation and Fundraising

The halftime show has been curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin and is designed to raise funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to generate $100 million (£73 million) to support children worldwide.

Returning Artists and Tournament Highlights

Colombian singer Shakira and Nigerian artist Burna Boy, who performed during the tournament's opening events across the three North American host countries, will also appear together on stage. Their global hit "Dai Dai" has become a prominent anthem at matches since the tournament's commencement last month.
