Glasgow Nightclub The Garage Up for Sale
The Garage, a renowned nightclub in Glasgow that has hosted major acts such as Prince, Coldplay, and One Direction, has been placed on the market.
Located on Sauchiehall Street, The Garage has been a prominent feature of Glasgow's nightlife since its opening in 1994.

Donald MacLeod, the owner, referred to the venue as a "cultural institution" but stated he is selling it to concentrate on other business ventures.
Estate agents CDLH anticipate "strong interest" from various prospective buyers.
They described The Garage as a "landmark venue" with a "reputation that extends far beyond Glasgow."
The club spans four floors and includes three distinct venues, accommodating up to 1,800 patrons.
Owner's Statement and Venue Details
MacLeod, who also owns the Cathouse club in Glasgow, said:
"It has been an absolute privilege and honour to own and operate such a well-loved venue, whose history, energy, location and reputation has placed it on the world's stage.
As I start to focus on developing other areas of my media, promotion and leisure portfolios, this feels like the right time to pass the baton to a new owner, who along with our fantastic management team and staff, will help build on this incredible legacy."
The Garage serves as the main venue, with smaller adjoining rooms named G2 and The Attic.
Notable Performances and Legacy
The Garage has been integral to Glasgow's nightlife since 1994.
In 1995, American superstar Prince performed a surprise secret set at the club just hours after a concert at the city's SECC attended by 10,000 fans.
Boyband One Direction performed at the venue in 2010, and bands such as Biffy Clyro and Kasabian also headlined there prior to achieving widespread success.
MacLeod mentioned that the venue's schedule is "full up" for the remainder of the year.
Market Interest and Sales Outlook
In promotional materials, CDLH described The Garage as "a cornerstone of Glasgow's vibrant music scene."
Peter Darroch of CDLH commented:
"The Garage is a truly landmark venue with a reputation that extends far beyond Glasgow.
Opportunities to acquire assets of this stature are rare, and we anticipate strong interest from a range of buyers seeking to build on its established legacy."
