Cruz Beckham's Cardiff Gig Tickets Mistakenly Label Wales Venue as England

Souvenir tickets for Cruz Beckham's Cardiff concert mistakenly listed the venue as being in England. The band’s only Welsh gig on their headline tour took place at Clwb Ifor Bach, a venue known for Welsh culture. Audience member Jason Erickson commented on the error but praised the performance.

Souvenir Ticket Error at Cruz Beckham's Cardiff Concert

Souvenir tickets distributed at Cruz Beckham's concert in the Welsh capital incorrectly stated that the event was taking place in Cardiff, England, rather than in Wales.

Friday's show at Clwb Ifor Bach, a venue renowned for promoting Welsh culture, is the sole Welsh location on Cruz Beckham and The Breakers' inaugural headline tour.

Dawbell, the band's representation, along with Clwb Ifor Bach, have been approached for comment regarding the ticket misprint.

Audience Reaction to the Location Mistake

Jason Erickson, 52, an audience member, commended the performance of Cruz Beckham, the youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham, but expressed surprise at the inaccurate venue location on the tickets.

The former design, technology, and graphic design teacher remarked that he was "hoping it was one of those oversights," especially considering that other UK tour dates are held in England and that the venue is among Cardiff's most prominent Welsh language or "Welshest" establishments.

Clwb Ifor Bach has been operating for over 40 years as a members' club dedicated to Welsh language speakers in Cardiff.

The venue also serves as a platform for emerging musicians, having hosted early performances by artists such as Coldplay, Mark Ronson, and The Killers.

"It's [written] so tiny, isn't it, on the ticket, you can quite easily overlook it, so I kind of get it,"
Erickson said.

"But you would expect them to pick something like that [up]... being the only Welsh gig.
"You kind of think, let's make sure we get that on the money but, you know, I'm a proud Welshman but it hasn't really upset me."

Tour Details and Audience Impressions

The band's tour commenced on Wednesday in Birmingham, with additional performances scheduled across the UK and Europe.

Erickson, a builder from Dinas Powys, Vale of Glamorgan, described Cruz Beckham as a "good guitarist, good singer" and noted that the band delivered an enjoyable performance to an audience of approximately 80 people spanning various age groups.

"It must be tough for him... trying to make it as a musician with probably one of the most famous modern surnames, so all credit to him,"
Erickson added.

Band History and Upcoming Shows

Cruz Beckham and his band began their career last year as a supporting act for the Welsh indie band The Royston Club, performing under different names.

Now established under their current name, their first headline tour includes 13 dates, concluding with two performances in London at the end of the month.

The tour follows a widely publicized dispute between Cruz's parents and their eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham.

No references to this family rift have been made during Cruz's performances, with the next scheduled show set for Glasgow on March 3.
