Cast Enjoys Barry Island Outing During Filming
Cast members from the BBC drama The Other Bennet Sister experienced a "cracking" day out in Barry Island while filming in Wales, thanks to the efforts of acting "legend" Ruth Jones.
Jones, who portrays Mrs Bennet in the series, organised for Dave's Coaches to transport the actors to one of the locations famously featured in Gavin & Stacey.

During the trip, Jones even reprised her role as Nessa, as revealed by cast member Ella Bruccoleri, who plays Mary Bennet, in an interview with BBC Radio Wales.
Ruth Jones Brings Nessa to Life on the Bus
"She went to the front of the bus where she did a bit of a Nessa tour guide turn and then she sang to us as well - she sang a bit of Islands in the Stream - it was wonderful," Bruccoleri said.
"It was so funny. We were all swaying our arms in the air," she added.
The group visited Barry, where they swam in the sea and enjoyed ice cream at Marco's Cafe, among other activities.

"We all went down to Barry and swam in the sea and ate ice cream at Marco's Cafe and stuff and that was wonderful," said Bruccoleri, who has previously appeared in Call the Midwife.
"She knew that she had loads of Gavin & Stacey fans on the bus and she was really giving the people what they wanted."
Bruccoleri described Jones as "an incredibly lovely woman - she's just a legend, isn't she."
About The Other Bennet Sister
The Other Bennet Sister is adapted from Janice Hadlow's novel of the same name. The drama offers a fresh perspective on the world of Jane Austen's classic novel Pride and Prejudice, focusing on the often overlooked middle daughter, Mary Bennet.
Mary Bennet is depicted as striving to establish her own identity and path, seeking to step out from her sisters' shadows to find love and create a new life.

Cast Experiences and Filming Locations
Bruccoleri described working with Jones as "magnificent" and said, "I had the summer of my life shooting this job in Wales."
Filming took place in various Welsh locations including Brecon in Powys, Merthyr Mawr in Bridgend, and the Gower peninsula near Swansea.
Having only visited Wales once before, Bruccoleri expressed her admiration for the country.
"I had this summer in Wales and I was like oh why would you want to be anywhere else - it is such a beautiful country," she said.
The actor, originally from north Yorkshire, noted that the crew was primarily Welsh and praised their kindness and professionalism.
"They were some of the kindest, loveliest people I've ever met and worked with," Bruccoleri added.
Ruth Jones on Filming in Wales
Jones has previously described the series as "one of the happiest jobs" she has ever undertaken and expressed her affection for returning to Wales.
