Caernarfon Selected for Eisteddfod yr Urdd Eryri 2028

The Urdd and Gwynedd Council have announced that Caernarfon will be the host for Eisteddfod yr Urdd Eryri 2028, marking the first time since 1956 that the event will be held there.

This will be the fourth occasion that the Urdd's national festival has taken place in the county, following previous visits to Llŷn in 1998, Glynllifon near Bangor in 2012, and Bala in 2014.

Eisteddfod yr Urdd is a traveling festival that visits a different region each year. This year, the festival is being held on Anglesey, with the 2027 event scheduled for Newport, Gwent, which will be its first time in that location.
