Elin Undeg Williams Wins Urdd Eisteddfod Ynys Môn Crown
Elin Undeg Williams from Betws Gwerful Goch, Denbighshire, has won the Crown at the Urdd Eisteddfod Ynys Môn.
The competition this year required the composition of a creative prose piece or pieces exceeding 2,500 words, centered on the theme of Shelter.
The judges were Llŷr Titus and Sonia Edwards.
The crown is awarded by the property development and sales company Eiddo Cyf.
Myfanwy Jones commented that the beaches and Celtic symbols of Anglesey "are strong themes in the design of the crown."

Jeweller Myfanwy Jones designed the Urdd Eisteddfod Ynys Môn 2026 Crown.
After completing a degree in jewellery design at Central Saint Martins University in London, she returned to Anglesey in 2022 following 15 years away.
Myfanwy creates jewellery using the specialist technique of wax carving and has designed numerous pieces for film and television, as well as working on fine jewellery commissions.
This year’s crown includes two opal stones and small pieces of jade, with green velvet lining on the inside to reflect the colours of the island’s beaches.
