Acquisition of Historic and Commercial Properties
The company that acquired the mansion which inspired JM Barrie’s creation of Peter Pan has expanded its portfolio by purchasing a former mill site currently operating as a business centre in the Scottish Borders.
Corespace completed the purchase of the Moat Brae building in Dumfries in March 2023, following its closure as a centre dedicated to children's literature in August 2024.

Recently, Corespace has been confirmed as the new owner of the Ettrick Riverside Business Centre located in Selkirk.
Background on the Sale and Future Plans
South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE) announced that the sale was a result of its strategic decision to "step away" from the role of commercial landlord and to concentrate on its primary mission of fostering economic growth, enterprise, and community development.
The Ettrick Riverside Business Centre, a category A-listed building, has functioned as a business centre for an extended period and will continue to provide "flexible office accommodation" to tenants.
Corespace currently operates multiple sites across Ayr, Kilwinning, Kilmarnock, and Dumfries.
SOSE stated that it will maintain a presence within the Ettrick Riverside building despite the sale.
