Duffy Visits Café Ahead of Comeback
Singer Duffy surprised staff and customers during a visit to a café in north Wales ahead of her first concert in over 15 years.
The Welsh artist visited Caffi Largo in Pwllheli, Gwynedd, on Wednesday. A staff member described her as "pleasant and polite."

Upcoming Secret Gig and Documentary
Earlier this month, the singer, known for the hit "Mercy," announced on social media that she would host a "secret intimate gig" in London next month, where she will perform new songs. This will be her first performance since she withdrew from public life in 2011.
In March, it was revealed that Duffy would participate in her first in-depth interview for a Disney+ documentary. In it, she discusses the traumatic events that led to her extended absence from the music industry.

Staff Reaction to Duffy's Visit
Following Duffy's visit, Lorna Williams, a staff member at Caffi Largo, said the singer was "pleasant and polite."
"We are very grateful for the publicity Caffi Largo has received due to her visit. She is welcomed at Caffi Largo any time,"
Williams added.
Duffy's Background and Career
Aimée Anne Duffy, aged 41, grew up between Gwynedd and Pembrokeshire. She rose to fame overnight with the single "Mercy" and the album "Rockferry," which became the UK's best-selling album of 2008.
However, after releasing her second album and announcing a third, Duffy disappeared from the public eye, leaving fans and the music industry puzzled.
Revelations About Her Absence
Nearly a decade later, in 2020, Duffy disclosed via an Instagram post that she had been attacked. She later published a personal essay on her website detailing how she was drugged and taken to a foreign country where she was raped.
She stated that the ordeal ended only when she managed to escape her attacker, who remains unidentified.
Duffy revealed that "utterly no-one" was aware of the assault and captivity, which left her with suicidal thoughts.
Recent Social Media Activity and Upcoming Performance
Last month, she posted a black-and-white photo from a recording studio on Instagram, writing:
"If only I could find the right words to explain how much I've missed you all. Working on coming back to you."
The balloted gig is scheduled to take place in London on 5 July.
