Tribute to Moya Brennan
Moya Brennan, renowned as the lead vocalist of the Grammy and Bafta-winning band Clannad, has passed away at the age of 73.
The celebrated Celtic folk singer, songwriter, and harpist hailed from the Irish-speaking Donegal Gaeltacht region of Gaoth Dobhair. Over her career, she recorded approximately 25 albums and achieved worldwide sales of millions of records.
As the eldest of nine siblings, Brennan rose to fame performing alongside her family in Clannad, a group established in 1970.
The band emerged as one of the leading traditional Irish music ensembles globally and became closely associated with Celtic music.
